Hey all, just was wondering if anyone else rides horses on this board? I have two just sitting in the pasture waiting on me to ride. My neuro. says I can, but my gen. says I can't because I am on anticoagulant and could get a fatal bleed on the brain if I were to fall on my head. So, I'm hoping that I can get off the coumadin next month and resume my riding. Although, my feet are slow, so not sure how that will play out. What sports do you all continue to do, or have you embraced new ones that you never though of before?

Speed reading and wine glass clean & jerk are the two post-surgery sports I've taken a liking to.

Joel: I'm laughing at your post because I'm picturing this wine "sport" you're referring to. I only wish I could have a glass, but I can't due to my coumadin. If they let me off of coumadin next month, I am having a celebratory glass for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tsmagio: Good for you that you can ride!! I'm going to try next month when I, hopefully, can get off of this coumadin!!!! What kind of riding do you do? I ride mainly western pleasure and used to show quite a bit in my younger days. I still have my old show mare, and she is 30 years old! Right now, she's in better shape than me. LOL!

Hello, Ride, oh man it's been so long. I grew up at the race track and the barns of Arabian horse shows. I used to love riding full blown into the wind and the feeling of freedom that gave me or jumping a five foot fence and knowing that horse and I were one. After I was in my car accident and could walk again I bought a dressage mare but found that without the feeling of my right foot I couldn't really enjoy riding. Guess if I can't do it the way I used to I don't want to do it anymore thoughts took over. Then when I was diagnosed with the tumor and even more lose of feeling in my legs I didn't think I could ride again. I sure would love to try again. I got my very own horse when I was nine, so was he, a broke down race horse ugly as hell but I loved him. He died 20 years later with his head in my lap and haven't fallen in love since. What wonderful memories that your post gave me Thanks!!

I have three. I don't ride too often anymore because of time constraints, but I love it when I do.

Wow, we've got lots of cow-pokes here on this site! I'd need a forklift to get up on one o' them thangs! I bet on horse races, does that count? QH--you know, there are some very respectable non-alcoholic wines out there--go with that for now, OK? Joel
