I JUST FOUND THIS FORUM. MY DAUGHTER HAD A 3 CM MELIGNANT MENINGIOMA REMOVED 13 YEARS AGO. SHE HAS HAD 12 MRI IN THE 13 YEARS. IN 2006 TUMOR WAS BACK 3 OF THEM JUST UNDER THE SPACE WHERE THE OTHER WAS REMOVED. NONE OF THE DOCTORS TOLD HER OF THIS. SHE FOUND OUT JUST 1 MONTH AGO, AND WENT LAST MONDAY FOR ANOTHER MRI. THERE WAS NO RADIATION OR THERAPY OF ANY TYPE DONE WITH THE FIRST SURGERY. ANY INFO WILL HELP.

:)Betty congrats!
It is an ordeal to go through and takes a while to absorb, I think the one year mark is very important.
I know nothing about injections except steroid injections I got years ago. They went deep, and I think one session caused some damage, it hurt like the devil and then after a year I got better.
Let us know if you do them and if it works for the pain.

Hello Cindy,
I'm sorry to hear of the tumor discovery. It is odd that it wasn't mentioned. How did you find this out, from an MRI report?
You will need to follow up and ask lots of questions. Even if they were just watching it you should have known. I would think if she needed radiation it would have been mentioned but who knows. Is it possible to get another neuro surgeon's opinion?

Congrats -- its the first year to more opportunities. Stay positive. Keep a journal and observe results with healing over time. Even if the successes are minor, they are progressive nonetheless.

My thoracic schwannom and me were parted on 3 Feb 2009, so me to for the aniversary thing. Just wish things were are good as they were this time last year.
