Hi everyone. To my surprise, the scan showed no change. So decisions don't have to be made. Yet. Thanks for your advice. Blessings of the season to you all, FW.

Hi all. To my amazement, the MRI showed no change in size of my astrocytoma. However, I discussed options with my consultant. He would be willing to see what surgery can do. He also said that chemo will not prolong my life, which is very useful as I do not want to go that route anyway. But I can face 2016 with optimism now. Blessings to all of you, and a good New Year. Hey Funnywalk,
It is great to hear your tumor is still stable. You seem to take a lot of initiative on this board and I was wondering if you know of any of the most experienced surgeons in the United States for a spinal astrocytoma? I have been posting on this forum in the group titled "SCT Diagnosis likely astrocytoma". Thank you so much for helping all of us on this forum. A great quote I have used to push through this uncertain time is "you can beat this by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live". It seems to prevent me from dwelling and help me keep a positive attitude. Thank you, Ken
