Does the burning sensations in legs post surgery ever get better with time? Any medications apart from neurotonin / gabapentein effective for this?

I have not had surgery yet, but I do have a lot of burning in my arms and legs. Lyrica has worked very well for me in controlling the burning. I am lucky as it does not make me drowsy but I know it does affect some people that way. May be worth a conversation with the doc.

Hi Newbie,
I think every ones recovery is different but I do think that the burning sensation does improve. I think a big move is to look inward for recovery and not for a drug. I personally think drugs make things worse long term. I do not take any pain medication until things get really bad and then only take them for a short while.
Be as active as you can.
