I’ve been having memory issues. It all started after I had a Hemangioblastomas tumor carved out of my spinal cord 3 years ago. At first I thought it was the anesthesia from the 11 hours of surgery, but shouldn’t that have passed by now? I’m noticing more and more blank spots in my memory from my coworkers and girlfriend. Unfortunately it is affecting my work. I find I have to relearn the computer programs that I wrote over and over.
My girlfriend said this is the 4th time I watched World War Z. It seemed all new to me, I couldn’t predict the plot.
I take no drugs. Only vitamin B-12 and Fish oil
Not sure if there is anything I should be doing

Hi Mike, welcome, so sorry to read your post, hope you don't forget you are on this forum - where we are all battered by inexplicable and alarming symptoms which v often cannot be explained even by medical experts. If I were you, I'd be asking my consultant for an MRI as soon as you can. You need some answers. The memory lapses could have another cause, but anyway, looking at your selfie you are way too young to be experiencing it as part of natural ageing or the kind of lapses I get [age 66] where words just don't come when I want them - scary, because I make my living by writing. But in my case, its definitely caused by age. Mike, get this checked out and please let us know how you are. Love and empathy, FW, oh and looking on the bright side, think how much money you will save by watching your old DVD collection....

Well it looks like this memory problem is all mine. I can’t blame it on the surgery. I did get an MRI of the brain and nothing looks unusual. To think I just turned 50. Now I just wait and watch for clues. As for the DVD collection, nope I don’t have any but red box sure loves me.
Holy smokes while searching this site I see I posted this question back in March. Wow that is eerie.

Hi Mike, You might want to check out the link I just posted on the thread called Science News. The main gist of it is that researchers are now thinking that spinal cord injuries can cause some brain inflammation & damage.
