I have multiple issues going on and I just looking for input from other people experiences similar issues. I have had scoliosis my whole life but recently my mid back locks up for days at time and i am almost un-funtionable. Then a few ago I started having my left leg go numb and decided it was time to see a dr. I hadn't had my back looked at in almost 25 years. Dr did X-ray shooing scoliosis at degree of 35 curvature. sent me for lumbar MRI which showed mild disc bulge at L1-L2 and at L#-L4 there is herniation with annular tear. mild central canal stenosis. narrowing of left L4 neural foramen and crowding of nerve root . moderate facet joint hypertrophy. at L5-S1 large central and ride sided annular tear , abutment of S1 nerve root. lateral bulging into left L5 neural foramen with facet joint hypertrophy producing narrowing and possible compression.
...... so then my left arm and hand started going numb and he sent me for MRI of my cervical spine and found I have reversed curve from c4-c5 through c5-c6. mild disc desiccation from C2-C3 through C6-C7...also 2 mm cerebellar tonsillar ectopia bilaterally ....also a 1.1x 1.2 x 1.6 CM hemangioma with C5 vertebral body and 8x8x8MM hemangioma within C7 vertebral body. C5-C6 mild disc space narrowing and a moderate left posterolateral disc protrusion(herniation) measuring 1.4 CM right to left and extending 4 MM beyond annulus at the entrance to the left sided C6 foramen. displacement of ventral C6 root as it enters foramen. Flattening of the ventral thecal sac and central canal stenosis.
UGH lol ...so currently I am waiting to go back to dr next monday, but i am now not only having left arm and leg numb right arm from elbow to hand going numb and tingling and my right foot goes numb, my left leg sometimes if freezing cold to touch. and i have headaches and dizziness that come and go.. I am going to request a thoracic MRI at this point considering everything going on...
I am most concerned about the tumor in in C5 and C7 and the cerebellar tosillar ectopia bilaterally ....i am seeing a spine Doctor currently but not sure which direction i will have to go from here or what kind of doctors need t be involved etc. DO any of you have anything similar going on? if so what is prognosis and your game plan to handle so many issues etc....
thank You
