My husband had ependymoma c3-4 removed 2 1/2 years ago and has gone back to work about 14 weeks after. He has had a very hard time at work, he dose building maintance and dose have drive alot sometimes 200+ miles in a day. He is maxed out on gabapentine, lyrica, tramadoland he takes naproxen also to help. he has alot of pain yet, it is wearing him down, he is done for the day when he gets home and weekends are a re shot also. They are gaving him bad reviewes at work saying they seen a big differance in his work the last 2 years. They want him out. He is dume from waist down and and one doc who dose the pain meds tells him he should not ladders which he needs to(work tells him he needs to be able to do 100% to work) he has been on this job for 32+ years and will turn 60 next week. He dose have about 7 months vaction saved up. What are the chances and how to go about it to get ssi? He has appoints with the Docs this week what should he tell them?

I got it. His age and medical records are enough. I wouldn't even get an attorney, they don't fill the paperwork out for you anyway. They only call to remind you to send the paper work in on time and take up to half of the first years payments. I'd get a statement from his employer saying as much and statements from your doctors. My doctor gave me a hard time about filling out paper work and said that my medical records would speak for themselves. They did. Good luck.
