Hi, ma again. It's been 3 months since the MRI, skin still burning up and still quite weak and unwell. Still flush like I have sunburn. It is most odd when I scratch, it stings, goes bright red and swells. I think these reactions are more common than medics believe, and as a result, are not getting reported. Patients try to, but are told it is anxiety or virus. I have therefore created a Facebook group to bring people together (power in numbers) called MRI Victims, please search for it and ask to join. I just want to see if your sunburn getting better? I have the exact same reaction as u do as I just do the MRI yesterday , will the burn heal or turn to something cancerous instead I am a mom half year ago I am so worried

I have reactions to MRIs as well. After my first one I was okay. The second one make my heart race the whole night and I was red all over for days after, especially on my chest. I thought it was the contrast and drank tons of water to flush it out. The doctors recommend premedication with prednisone and benadry next MRI. . The third one I premedicated and I was generally okay. This fourth one I also premedicated , but this was the worst. I was red and and hot in the inside for days . I am scared to have another one. We thought it was the contrast I have a reaction too, but after reading some things what if it is the actual MRI machine that's hurting me ? Also the first bad reaction I have with the the heart racing I had a MRI of the brain. All the rest were if the breast. I am told they use two different contrast for the breat and the head. I have to go get an MRI this week ....NO CONTRAST. but I still am alittle worried.

I had an mri yesterday without dye. Today I noticed a rash on my neck. Most of what I’ve read here seem to relate the rash to the dye but I didn’t have the dye and still have the rash.
